If it’s your birthday

-

Relationships are experiences of exchange – not about give and take, but rather offer and receive. There will be times when you need to do more of the offering, and other times when you need to do more of the receiving. This should be an easy flow with a partner, where you’re able to pivot and support one another the moment you need to. You share a birthday with George Lakoff, Kristin Scott Thomas and Gene Anthony Ray. MARCH 21-APRIL 19 You’re in the first few weeks of Chiron in your sign, a transit that will last for the next nine years. What kinds of transitions are you currently experiencing? How is your love-to-fear ratio? Most significantly, are you finding it possible to express yourself to the people closest to you? APRIL 20-MAY 20 There’s a new emphasis on your career, which will take most of the year to unfold. Clearly it’s time to expand your horizons, though you want to plan carefully, and make your moves incrementally. There is a way to proceed where you preserve all of your prior gains while entering new territory. JUNE 21-JULY 22 You will need to either reconcile your strategy with those you perceive as having power, or go your own way. You don’t actually need a boss, a parent or a supervisor, though to have that privilege you must be self-motivated, disciplined and accountable to yourself. No problem, right? JULY 23-AUG. 22 This is a time of big decisions; though, the bigger they are, the more carefully you must consider each individual component incrementally. The small decisions add up to the bigger ones, as long as you know the general direction in which you’re headed, and as long as you’re honest with yourself. AUG. 23-SEPT. 22 To be effective in your current position of leadership, roll up your sleeves, put on an apron, and get to work alongside the people you depend on. If you’re on the lower end of the totem pole, follow the advice of Johnny Cash: “When they say who can? You say I will.” SEPT. 23-OCT. 22 Don’t let anything undermine your confidence; if it is, gently step beyond it and carry on with what you need to do. Everyone on the planet experiences some degree of fear or insecurity. Yet the strong among us don’t let those feelings stop them. They can even give you strength. OCT. 23-NOV. 21 Let your imagination lead you into new places. This is what shamans call Deer Medicine: the gentle invitation to unfamiliar experiences. This would only feel wildly daring if you’re fully committed to learning nothing, which is not true. So let the Deer lead you someplace interesting. NOV. 22-DEC. 21 There’s a hidden dimension to your life that you’re not talking about and may only be dimly aware of. Yet if you tune in, you will pick up on your inner dialogue, and some unacknowledged desire. Over the weekend, this material will be more readily available to your waking mind. DEC. 22-JAN. 19 A partner or loved one may feel like you don’t give a damn, and like you just won’t compromise. If you’re firmly committed to such a position, that is your choice; if you value the relationship, you should in some way feed and nourish this person, and let your love grow. JAN. 20-FEB. 18 Your planets favor your creative exploration, though the aspect involved is a trine. That’s the “use it or lose it” aspect: you can have brilliant potential or some latent talent, though it will fade if you don’t consciously allow your energy to flow in that direction. FEB. 19-MARCH 20 Nessus, one of the newlydiscovered planets, is in your birth sign. It’s a longterm visitor, and might be bringing up legacy issues involving abuse, guilt and how you feel about your sexual history. Venus in Cancer will now make a long and graceful trine to Nessus; healing is possible.
