Ivanka trademarks get OK from China

- David Boroff

CHINA APPROVED five trademarks for First Daughter Ivanka Trump’s business this month — around the same time President Trump said he would try to provide a job boost to the Chinese telecom company ZTE.

The trademarks were applied for in March 2017, according to Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. The trademarks give Ivanka Trump, an adviser to her father, rights for bath mats, textiles and baby blankets, according to CREW.

Ivanka Trump (photo) received the registration approval May 7. Her father tweeted May 13 that “President Xi of China, and I, are working together to give massive Chinese phone company, ZTE, a way to get back into business, fast. Too many jobs in China lost. Commerce Department has been instructed to get it done!”

“As a White House adviser, Ivanka has represented the United States at multiple diplomatic events despite the potential conflicts her business interests present,” CREW wrote on its website.
