Ghouls rob dying vic of motorbike

SOMEONE SWIPED the wheels of a 27-year-old dirt bike rider who lay dying in the street after crashing in Brooklyn, authorities and witnesses said Tuesday.

Luimy Acosta-Collado was driving the red and black bike down Hancock St. in Bushwick when he hit a double-parked gray Toyota Sienna minivan at about 10:50 p.m. Monday, cops said. He was just a half-block from his home.

“I was watching TV inside. I heard the noise — a crunch and a thud and people freaking out,” said a 39-year-old witness who identified himself as Wayne O.

“I came out here. The guy was bleeding. A bunch of people were out here screaming, calling ambulances.”

Acosta-Collado landed on his back and was pinned under a maroon SUV. The motorcycle kept going for a short distance before crashing again.

Several people — some of them his relatives — ran to his side and tried to help, putting a pillow under his head in an effort to stop the bleeding.

“His wife was next to him and she was crying, ‘Please don’t let my husband die!’ She was freaking out,” Wayne O. said. “He wasn’t responsive at all. People were trying to wake him up.”

Medics rushed Acosta-Collado to Brookdale University Hospital, where he died. A 24-year-old woman who was behind the wheel of the struck minivan was unhurt.

In the aftermath, cops said, someone made off with Acosta-Collado’s motorcycle. Witnesses said he was riding a dirt bike, which is illegal on city streets.

Another witness said Acosta-Collado was riding a friend’s dirt bike when he crashed — and the “friend” retrieved it before police showed up.

“The cops can’t find the motorcycle. My guess is that the person who owns the motorcycle took it before it would get confiscated,” said Wayne O., who offered a low opinion of whoever took the bike.

“Even for Brooklyn, that would be pretty s---ty,” he said.
