Schools gig for Blaz aide

SCHOOLS Chancellor Richard Carranza installed a longtime Mayor de Blasio loyalist as his chief of staff Wednesday and took pains to explain that her promotion was his decision.

Former deputy chief of staff Edie Sharp, 34, who had worked for de Blasio since he was public advocate, landed a $30,000 raise, upping her salary to $165,000.

When reporters tweeted her new gig might be due to the influence of de Blasio, Carranza tweeted, “I make my own decisions.”
