Shamorie Ponds, the leading scorer in the Big East last season, will be sticking around St. John’s for another season.

The southpaw from Bed-Stuy withdrew his name from next month’s NBA Draft Wednesday ahead of the deadline for underclassmen.

Ponds, who will be a junior, had worked out for multiple teams in recent weeks, but decided to remain a member of the Red Storm.

Ponds averaged 21.6 points per game as a sophomore and was a First Team All-Big East selection in 2017-18.
