FAN, 7, INJURED

Lena Webber, 7, who was attending a minor league baseball game in Midland, Mich., has been hospitalized after being hit in the head by a foul ball. WNEM-TV and MLive.com report that Webber was attending a Great Lakes Loons game Wednesday at Midland’s Dow Diamond. She was sitting in a grassy area of the right field berm when she was struck. Lena’s father, Ryan Webber, told MLive in a Facebook message Thursday that she suffered a fractured skull, whiplash and a concussion, and is listed in fair condition. He hopes she will be released soon.
