Students and authors bond

Public school students from Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan and Queens will be getting a world of exposure through the 92Y Christopher Lightfoot Walker Literature Project dinner/reading on Wednesday, featuring New York Times best-selling author Roxane Gay and award-winning writer Tayari Jones.

Gay, who has roots in Haiti, and Taylor are due to meet about 50 students — who were prepped and familiarized with the guest authors’ works through writing exercises at in-school visits by Literature Project coordinator Wendy Salinger. The students will meet with the authors at Wednesday’s affair.
