BOATS AND aircraft scoured 646 square miles of ocean before the Coast Guard suspended its search Sunday for victims of a plane crash that shocked Long Island’s East End, officials said.
Bernard Krupinski, 71 — a well-known local contractor who built sprawling homes for celebrities like Martha Stewart and Billy Joel — died with two relatives along with the pilot when his twin-engine Piper Navajo plane plunged into the ocean Saturday off East Hampton.
Krupinski’s wife Bonnie (pictured, with Bernard), 70, their grandson William Maerov, 22, and pilot Jon Dollard, 47, were also missing and presumed dead. i f
