KANYE MENTAL WOE

Says he was diagnosed with ‘condition’ last year

-

KANYE WEST was recently diagnosed with a “mental condition,” the “Lift Yourself” rapper revealed in a new interview.

West, 40, did not specify what condition he’s dealing with, but makes multiple mentions of bipolar disorder on his new album. He made the revelation during a recent conversation with radio host Big Boy, stating he was “diagnosed with a mental condition” and noting he had “never been diagnosed till I was like 39.”

The mercurial performer (left) admitted he’s grateful to have an outlet for his issues.

“I’m so blessed and so privileged because think about people that have mental issues that are not Kanye West that can’t go and make (an album) and make it feel like it’s all good,” West told Big Boy in a video interview.

“Think about that somebody does exactly what I did at TMZ and they do that at work, but then Tuesday morning, they come in and they’ve lost their job,” he said, referring to a ranting and raving visit to the gossip site last month that caused him to rethink new music he released a short time later. “That’s why God put that on me.”

West debuted his long-anticipated new album “Ye” to the public last Friday after premiering the work at a listening party in Wyoming.

The cover artwork of the seven-song album features the inscription, “I hate being BiPolar it’s awesome,” while he also refers to bipolar disorder in a new song titled “Yikes.”

“That’s why I f--- with Ye, see, that’s my third person, that’s my bipolar s--t,” he raps, before saying, “That’s my superpower … ain’t no disability.”

During West’s controversial TMZ appearance, he suggested slaves chose their condition.

“When you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years? That sound like a choice,” West declared. “Like, you was there for 400 years and it’s all of y’all?”

Later that day, he attempted to clarify his comments.

“To make myself clear, of course I know that slaves did not get shackled and put on a boat by free will,” West wrote. “My point is for us to have stayed in that position even though the numbers were on our side means that we were mentally enslaved. They cut out our tongues so we couldn’t communicate to each other. I will not allow my tongue to be cut.”
