Didn’t grope, prosecutor testifies

- Andrew Keshner

A FORMER Brooklyn sex crimes prosecutor testified Tuesday that he never made unwanted advances on a woman.

Chrismy Sagaille took the stand at his Brooklyn Supreme Court misdemeanor trial to deny kissing a woman without her permission or grabbing her breast. The disputed encounter occurred as the accuser gave Sagaille a ride home from the April 2017 baby shower where they met.

The woman told jurors Monday that Sagaille, 33, first made a nonconsensual move at a red light and then as she was driving.

Sagaille testified that he was “upset, angry, in disbelief” over the forcible touching and third-degree sexual abuse charges against him. He is suing the Daily News for its coverage of the case.

His lawsuit claims he lost his assistant district attorney job because of the woman’s allegations.

Closing arguments are expected Thursday.
