‘Throne’ back in jail for letter threat

A STATEN ISLAND lawyer may want his divorce settled in a Game-of-Thronesstyle fight to the death.

Instead, he ended up Wednesday in front of Brooklyn Federal Judge Jack Weinstein — who tossed him in jail

Weinstein revoked 38-year-old Richard Luthmann’s $1.5 million bail in an alleged kidnapping scheme because he made “Game of Thrones”-themed threats against his soon-tobe ex-wife.

Luthman, who once suggested settling a case through “trial by combat,” was taken back into federal custody after sending ye olde poison pen letter.

“Anyone sending a letter like that has serious medical problems or is threatening someone,” said Weinstein, who also ordered Luthmann to undergo a psychological evaluation.

Luthmann’s lawyer, Arthur Aidala, said the threat mimicked the action in HBO’s dungeons and dragons drama. The letter was filed under seal, so its exact text was not available.

“Till death do us part, that went out the window with this guy,” the lawyer said. “He took an exact copy of what was said in the show and replaced the names.”

Aidala said that there was no real threat intended by the letter.

“He lost his best friend in the middle of the worst time of his life, and he wrote a letter that mimicked a letter from the ‘Game of Thrones,’ ” Aidala said.
