Bravest facing charges in DWI
AN OFF-DUTY city firefighter was arrested for drunken driving early Saturday moments after he pulled out of a parking spot in Brooklyn, officials said. Peter Beltran, 32, was pulled over about 1 a.m. for failing to signal as he began to drive into traffic on Bay Ridge Parkway near Fourth Ave. in Bay Ridge, according to police. When cops stopped Beltran, he appeared intoxicated, but the smoke-eater refused to take a Breathalyzer test, officials said. Police charged him with drunken driving and other violations. His arraignment was pending Saturday in Brooklyn Criminal Court.
