Prez’s lackeys erupt with lies hitting Canada

CANADA’S PRIME minister was the recipient of a Singapore sling Monday, as President Trump flung insults at him from the other side of the world.

President Trump, in Singapore for a summit to de-escalate a North Korean weapons surge, was still bent out of shape over a tariff tiff with Canada.

The President went on a nuclear Twitter tirade against Justin Trudeau, calling the Canadian leader “dishonest” and “weak.”

“Fair Trade is now to be called Fool Trade if it is not Reciprocal,” Trump tweeted about a country that has been a longtime ally.

“Sorry, we cannot let our friends, or enemies, take advantage of us on Trade anymore. We must put the American worker first!”

The fireworks started after Trump departed from a summit in Canada of the Group of 7, a gathering of seven nations with highly developed economies. Trump left Saturday, before the meetup ended, and renounced a joint communique the countries had agreed to expressing optimism on resolving trade disputes, blaming the move on Trudeau (photo).

The prime minister, whose nation hosted the annual meeting of top world leaders, told reporters Saturday that he would impose retaliatory tariffs if necessary in response to tariffs put on Canadian steel and aluminum by Trump.

“As Canadians, we are polite, we’re reasonable, but also we will not be pushed around,” he said.

The remarks largely echoed comments the Canadian leader has made before, but they infuriated Trump, who lashed out at Trudeau in a series of tweets from Air Force One.

Trump’s aides doubled down on the attacks and railed against the leader of one of the U.S.’ closest allies in a series of TV interviews Sunday — insisting that the Canadian had somehow started the fight.

“The whole world listened to what he said,” Larry Kudlow, the President’s chief economic aide told CNN’s “State of the Union.” “You just don’t behave that way. It’s a betrayal.”

Trump trade adviser Peter Navarro said on “Fox News Sunday” that “there’s a special place in hell for any foreign leader that engages in bad-faith diplomacy with President Donald J. Trump and then tries to stab him in the back on the way out the door.”U.S. lawmakers from both parties condemned Trump’s abrupt decision to pull out of the joint statement.
