Woman with hands cuffed, bag over head committed suicide

A Brooklyn woman found dead in her bedroom with her hands cuffed behind her back and a plastic bag over her head suffocated in an apparent suicide, the city medical examiner said Thursday.

Ketsia Zephir, 34, was found dead in her home on E. 21st St. near Newkirk Ave. in Flatbush just before 3:15 p.m. March 18, authorities said.

Cops said they found no signs of trauma on Zephir’s body and no apparent signs of a struggle.

An autopsy determined Zephir died from asphyxiation after fastening the bag over her head, the medical examiner said.

She lived with her father and stepmother, police sources said.
