Cops deliver baby
These guys know how to deliver.
Three cops helped a Long Island mother give birth to a baby boy in the bathroom of her home early Friday — and likely saved the newborn's life in the process.
Officers Sean Fleming, Bryan Mastrangelo and Eric Dorfman rushed to Suzanne Baumann's home on Overlook Drive in Farmingville at 2:05 a.m. and sprang into action, Suffolk County Police said.
Baumann gave birth to baby Ronan on her bathroom floor 15 minutes later.
The officers — including Mastrangelo, a member of the department's Medical Crisis Action Team — noticed the infant's umbilical cord was wrapped three times around his neck.
The mother and her son were rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital where they are in good condition.
