XXXTentacion wrote will at 19 and was shot dead at age 20
The murdered rapper XXXTentacion prepared a will before his death and left everything to his family.
XXXTentacion, who was 20 when he died, had signed the legal document last November when he was just 19, according to TMZ, which obtained the will.
The paperwork states the rapper, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, did not have any children, and names his mother and two brothers as his beneficiaries. The document didn’t disclose the rapper’s net worth.
XXXTentacion’s mom, Cleopatra Bernard, hinted on Instagram after his death that the rapper had a baby on the way by posting a photo of a sonogram with the caption, “He left us a final gift.” She did not specify the identity of the apparent child’s mother.
The hip hop artist was shot dead on June 18 at a Deerfield Beach, Fla., motorcycle dealership in what police believe was a robbery. A suspect named Dedrick Williams was arrested two days later and charged with murder. A death certificate for XXXTentacion published by TMZ states he died in the hospital.
XXXTentacion faced a series of legal issues over the course of his career, including being accused of beating a pregnant girlfriend in 2016. He had been awaiting a trial for that case when he died. The rapper once spoke about the possibility of dying young in an Instagram video that began to recirculate on social media after his death.
“If worse thing comes to worst, and I f--king die or some s--t and I’m not able to see out my dreams, I at least want to know that the kids perceived my message and were able to make something of themselves and able to take my message and use it and turn it into something positive and to at least have a good life,” XXXTentacion says in the video, which was originally posted to his Instagram story on an undisclosed date.
A music video for XXXTentacion’s song “SAD!,” filmed before his death, was released Thursday and shows the rapper going to his own funeral.
