Cortez sees precedent

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who scored an upset win in last week’s congressional primary, said Sunday there are districts all over the country primed for insurgent candidacies like hers.

“There are a lot of districts in this country that are like New York 14, that have changed a lot in the last 20 years and whose representation has not,” Ocasio-Cortez said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Ocasio-Cortez last Tuesday defeated Rep. Joseph Crowley for the seat he has held for two decades.
