‘Big’ money behind Nix

- BY GLENN BLAIN AND KENNETH LOVETT

Big is backing Miranda – and so is Alec Baldwin.

Actor Christopher Noth, who played Mr. Big on the HBO series “Sex and the City,” and “Boss Baby” star Baldwin were among the latest actors to donate money to actress Cynthia Nixon's campaign for governor, a financial statement made public Tuesday revealed. Noth gave $2,5000 while Baldwin $16,000.

“We are grateful for both of their support,” Nixon campaign spokeswoman Lauren Hitt.

Also giving money to Nixon were actresses Susan Sarandon and Lena Dunham, who gave $10,000 each, and Debra Messing, who gave $500, according to the financial disclosure statement.

Nixon's “Sex and the City” co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis had previously donated $5,000 and $2,000, respectively. Other stars that have donated to Nixon's campaign include Rosie O'Donnell, Mary-Louise Parker, Zachary Quinto and Kyra Sedgwick.

The Hollywood support helped Nixon to raise just over $1.6 million since she announced her candidacy for the Democratic nomination in March. But she heads into the final two months of the campaign with only $657,438 on hand, having spent more than $953,000, according to her campaign statements.
