Shirt-theft fugitive nabbed

Cops early Sunday caught a man who escaped their custody after they arrested him for allegedly stealing shirts from the SoHo Nike store.

Derek Robinson, 39, was nabbed at a city youth hostel about 1:35 a.m., police said.

A Nike loss prevention officer spotted the woman, Alize Scruggs, grabbing the clothes from the shelf and handing them to Robinson, prosecutors allege.

Cops were busy arresting Scruggs, 21, when Robinson broke free minutes after being busted.

Authorities lost sight of him when he slipped into ahousing complex.
