Trains in vain
New subway boss Andy Byford says it again and again: There's no substitute for good communication. Then why under God's gray pavement didn't the MTA tell commuters about longplanned repairs that snarled N, R and D trains in Brooklyn during Monday morning's rush hour? Why didn't straphangers on crawling trains get any information?
Byford should borrow from Fiorella La Guardia and proclaim: “When I make a mistake, it's a beaut!”
