ISLANDERS 9-0 vs. Carolina Hurricanes

Well on their way to another losing season, the Islanders suffered their worst loss in a shutout at Carolina. The Hurricanes peppered 57 shots on goal to the Islanders’ 12. The corrosive combination of goalies Yann Danis (three goals) and Joey MacDonald (six goals) proved lethal. The Hurricanes scored four goals on the power play as the Isles had 37 penalty minutes.
