Assange may be ready to talk
Julian Assange may be ready to break his silence.
The Senate Intelligence Committee asked Assange this month to testify in its investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election — and the elusive anti-secrecy activist is “considering” the request, WikiLeaks said Wednesday.
“WikiLeaks’ legal team say they are ‘considering the offer but the conditions must conform to a high ethical standard,’ ” WikiLeaks tweeted from its official account along with a photocopy of a letter from the committee dated Aug. 1 and marked “sensitive.”
