A man was beaten to death in Queens early Thursday — and cops are looking to question his ex-girlfriend’s new beau about the killing.

Carry Martin, 48, was found unconscious with dirt in his mouth in front of a building on 18th St. near 20th Ave. in Astoria at 12:48 a.m., cops said.

He had been punched in the face repeatedly.

A few hours earlier, a neighbor saw Martin talking to a man who had his arm around him.

“(My daughter) saw him, the victim, last night,” said the neighbor, who wished to remain anonymous. “He was walking down the street with another guy, going toward the river. She told me, ‘Oh my god, I might have been the last person to see him alive.’ ”

Martin’s ex-girlfriend was heard screaming.

“(My daughter) heard her say, ‘Where is my husband! Where is my husband!’ the neighbor said. “She was loud,”

Martin was rushed to Mount Sinai Queens hospital, where he died, authorities said.

Police are looking to question the man who is dating Martin’s former flame, who he had two children with.

The two men were seen arguing with each other earlier in the night, police sources said.

“He was a lot of times here, with the stroller and the baby,” said the neighbor. “There were always together, always with the kids. They would sit there on the bench with the kids.”

Another neighbor said her son was awake when the cops arrived.

“He ran to the window when he saw the police lights,” explained the woman, who did not want her name used.

The child saw Martin’s battered body.

“I’m scared. I have children,” the woman said. “I suffer anxiety. I haven’t slept.”

Martin’s family declined to comment.
