Senior in DWI with kid in car
A 68-year-old woman soused on vodka was busted driving the wrong way in Chelsea with her 3-year-old foster son riding in the back seat without any restraint, police said Tuesday.
Felicia Quamina said she did nothing wrong and noted she's been a foster parent for more than two decades.
“I have children who are in their 20s who I fostered and adopted,” she said at the door of her Washington Heights apartment, a red stroller nearby. “It's a totally false report.”
Quamina was charged in the Friday afternoon incident with driving while intoxicated and acting in a manner injurious to a child younger than 17.
Her 3-year-old foster son was taken into custody by the Administration for Children's Services, police said.
“She was so drunk she couldn't take a Breathalyzer test,” one police source said.
Quamina wouldn't comment on her son, but did say she was not drunk.
