Cop-kick charge vs. Locklear

- BY PETER SBLENDORIO

Heather Locklear is facing a string of charges stemming from her contentious June arrest.

The actress was charged with one count of battery on a police officer, one count of battery on an EMT and one count of resisting arrest on Thursday after she allegedly kicked a cop and an EMT during a June 24 incident at her Southern California home, the Ventura County district attorney’s office confirmed to the Daily News.

Officials responded to a report of a dispute involving the actress at her home in Thousand Oaks that evening.

Locklear, 56, kicked a cop in the leg after they arrived, and kicked an EMT in the chest while she was being placed onto a gurney, an official with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office told The News in June. She was “heavily intoxicated” at the time, officials said.

The EMT who Locklear allegedly kicked hired an attorney after claiming she was suffering from head, neck and arm pain that prevented her from working in the field, a source told The News last month.

Following the arrest, TMZ reported Locklear (photo) was planning to go to a longterm facility to seek treatment for mental health and substance problems.

Locklear was arrested in February as well following a dispute at her home involving her boyfriend. She was booked on suspicion of domestic violence and three counts of battery on emergency personnel for that incident.
