President launches anti-NFL & Nike Twitter attack

- BY CARRON J. PHILLIPS

It’s like clockwork, you can set your watch to it.

Once again the president has taken to Twitter to complain about something he doesn’t like.

In the midst of complaining about a new book that legendary journalist Bob Woodward has written about him, and lying about things his administration hasn’t even come close to accomplishing, Trump whined Wednesday morning about Nike and the NFL.

“Just like the NFL, whose ratings have gone WAY DOWN, Nike is getting absolutely killed with anger and boycotts. I wonder if they had any idea that it would be this way? As far as the NFL is concerned, I just find it hard to watch, and always will, until they stand for the FLAG!” he tweeted.

The rant was part two of the president sharing his thoughts on Nike’s decision to sign Colin Kaepernick to a new deal, making him the face of their “Just Do It” 30th anniversary campaign.

“I think it’s terrible message that and a message that shouldn’t be sent. There’s no reason for it,” Trump told the Daily Caller on Tuesday. “In another way, it is what this country is all about, that you have certain freedoms to do things that other people think you shouldn’t do, but I personally am on a different side of it.”

The 2018 NFL season hasn’t even begun yet. It’s going to be a long year.
