Bust for rapper sidekick in assault

- BY GRAHAM RAYMAN

You can’t only blame it on the Casanova.

An alleged accomplice of the rapper Casanova in the Aug. 12 assault and robbery of a young fan has been arrested, police said Thursday.

Bobby Williams, 27, found himself in handcuffs Tuesday around 11 a.m. for the attack of Niya Rucker, 23, at the Good Stuff Diner on W. 14th St.near 6th Ave.

Casanova, whose real name is Caswell Senior, 31, grew irate because Rucker was filming him.

The rapper turned himself in four days after the incident.

Williams, of Harlem, was with the rapper and a woman at the diner when Rucker began recording them.

Enraged, the three stormed up to the woman’s table and demanded that she delete the recording.

They then took the phone by force, with Williams allegedly putting the victim in a headlock and choking her into unconsciousness before throwing her onto the floor.

The rapper and the woman he was with allegedly hit Rucker in the face, causing cuts to her chin and a swollen lip, cops said. Rucker declined medical aid.

In August, Casanova’s lawyer Scott Leemon said the rapper “adamantly denies the allegation.”

Rucker previously claimed she was taking an Instagram video of her food, not recording the rapper.

The three allegedly ran off with Rucker’s phone. The diner’s surveillance system snapped images of Casanova’s friend, who police describe as black with a bald head and beard. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt, white sneakers and denim shorts.

The woman who participated in the assault has yet to be arrested.

Williams has two prior arrests — for robbery in 2013 and illegal weapons possession in 2010.
