28 yrs. for Suge in ’15 slay plea
Suge Knight copped a plea in a murder case Thursday, agreeing to serve 28 years in prison for the hit-and-run death of a man in 2015. The Death Row Records founder pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter days before jury selection in his trial was to start. Knight, 53, was charged with murdering businessman Terry Carter and attempting to murder ex-gang member Cle (Bone) Sloan in the parking lot of Tam’s Burgers in Compton on Jan. 29, 2015.
He appeared in court Thursday wearing shackles and a jail uniform and admitted he used a weapon during the crime, his truck.
