The Trojan Horse has shown more life lately than the Trojans of Southern California. This USC team, which was sold as a high-powered scoring machine, has managed a mere 17 points during its last two games. After mustering three points against a stifling Stanford squad, they couldn’t put points on the board in the last three quarters against Texas, which looked awfully shaky entering that game. Meanwhile, the Cougars have dominated inferior opponents to the tune of 131-43. Mike Leach has done a great job at Washington State with an explosive vertical offense that would make Don Coryell take a bow. With their College Football Playoff hopes all but shot, I don’t know how up USC will be for this game. The Cougars, who were just trying to finish in the top tier of a Pac-12, are all of a sudden thinking maybe they can make a title run. Winning at the L.A. Coliseum is a good first step. This line has sank from Trojans laying 5.5 points to 3.5. Jump on the Cougs now before it slips any further. $30 on WSU to cover.
