A Brooklyn man died after getting into a fight with a coworker and hitting his head on the pavement, police said Thursday.

Bryan Trinidad, 27, was killed in the clash with Luis Solano, 33, on 58th St. near Second Ave. in Sunset Park about 5 p.m. Monday.

“It was over something stupid … (something) to do with the job,” said Trinidad’s heartbroken roommate, Sue Ortiz. Trinidad and Solano worked for Altronix, a security alarm manufacturer based in the Brooklyn Army Terminal in Sunset Park.

The men were friends as well as co-workers, Ortiz said. “He didn’t deserve this,” Ortiz, 32, said. “At the end of the day, his socalled friend that did this deserves what he deserves.”

As the two men scuffled, Solano punched Trinidad in the face, according to cops. Trinidad dropped and smacked his head on the street.

Solano kept hitting him, then took off east on 58th St., witnesses told police.

“(Trinidad) started twitching... (Solano was) hitting him over and over,” Ortiz said. “His friend named Danny pushed him away, called the ambulance.”

Medics rushed Trinidad, who lived 12 blocks from his job, to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in critical condition. He died there Wednesday.

Solano, of Harlem, was arrested the day Trinidad died and was charged with manslaughter and assault.

A judge ordered Solano held without bail Thursday despite the protests of Solano’s defense attorney Patrick Brackley, who said Trinidad died in a “freak accident” during a “dumb fight.”
