Mugged for $350 sneakers
A pair of footwear fiends ripped $350 Kanye West-designed sneakers right off the feet of a 15-year-old boy they mugged in Brooklyn, authorities said Tuesday.
The crooks ambushed their victim on Ocean Ave. near Avenue T in Sheepshead Bay about 9:40 a.m. last Thursday.
“Give us your money and shoes or we’re going to beat you up,” the teenage terrors threatened, according to police.
The muggers grappled with their victim, snatching $5 from his pants pocket and ripping from his feet his new pair of Yeezy kicks, an Adidas brand designed by rapper Kanye West, cops said. The victim was not hurt. The robbers were last seen running down Avenue U.
On Tuesday, police released surveillance video of the two suspects and asked the public’s help identifying and locating them.
They are both described as between 15 and 17 and about 5-feet-10. One suspect sported braids and was wearing a black bubble jacket and black jeans while the other wore a gray sweatshirt with a green hoodie and black ripped jeans.
