Happy’s plenty Happy

Animal advocates are asking courts to declare Happy, a perfectly content elephant who has lived at the Bronx Zoo for 40 of her 47 years, the victim of unlawful imprisonment. A true return to freedom for the minuscule number of elephants in American animal parks would mean sending them to places where lions, leopards, hyenas and human poachers roam.

Would legal advocates defend them from predators’ jaws?
