Alec’s show moves to worse time

- Peter Sblendorio

It’s been a rough few days for Alec Baldwin.

ABC is moving the actor’s celebrity interview program, “The Alec Baldwin Show,” from Sunday nights to Saturday nights, the network confirmed.

A source told The News the move to the less desirable timeslot is due to ratings.

The announcement comes less than a week after Baldwin was arrested in New York following an alleged dispute over a parking spot.

“The Alec Baldwin Show” had been airing on Sundays at 10 p.m., but ABC will instead show re-runs of “Shark Tank” at that time beginning on Nov. 18, followed by the “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Holiday Special” on Dec. 2.

Baldwin’s show, meanwhile, will start at its new time of 10 p.m. on Saturdays on Dec. 8.

The actor acknowledged that his program may be short-lived during a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“I mean, who knows if we survive? ABC’s not doing very well,” he told the outlet. “We could get out there, show four or five episodes, and be dead.”
