NYPD probes officers’ grab of baby boy

Police are investigating a shocking viral video that shows three NYPD cops tearing a baby boy from his mother’s arms from the floor of a Brooklyn city agency building.

The 2:26 minute clip, posted on Facebook on Friday afternoon, shows Jazmine Headley, 23, on the floor, clutching her 1-year-old son, yelling, “They are hurting my son!” as cops desperately try to yank the child from her arms.

Police were called to the Bergen St. building near Nevins St. in Boerum Hill, where a SNAP center is located, just before 1 p.m. “due to (Headley’s) disorderly conduct towards others, and for obstructing the hallway,” an NYPD spokeswoman said.

“The woman was then informed by police numerous times to leave the location, and she refused,” the NYPD said.

As cops tried to make Headley leave, peace officers with the Human Resources Administration “brought the woman to the floor. NYPD officers then attempted to place her under arrest,” the NYPD said.

The video, which was posted by Monae Sinclair and has over 140,000 views, shows dozens of people crowding around the cops, screaming at them to leave Headley alone.

Sinclair said the woman was simply trying to sit on the floor because there weren’t enough chairs, which sparked a verbal dispute with a security guard.

“The security guard felt dumb so she called the cops on her and this was the outcome,” Sinclair wrote. “Mind you she had her baby in her hands the whole time.”

“I’m so f------ disgusted with the NYPD,” Sinclair added. “I’m a mother myself and I would’ve lost my f------ mind if this was me. They would’ve had to kill me.”

City Council Speaker Corey Johnson (photo) is now calling for an investigation into the incident, and says the video is “hard to watch.”
