Wild ‘Game’ feast

‘Thrones’ fans eat up themed Shake Shack fare

It promises to be the best burger east of Westeros.

There were probably no frothy shakes or nutritional information in the age of the Targaryen dynasty, but that hasn’t stopped the Shake Shack chain from pushing a “Game of Thrones” Dracarys Burger past your palate as part of a promotion for the show’s last season.

The savory sustenance, which came out Friday, “features a double Monterey Jack cheeseburger sourced from the finest head of cattle The Seven Kingdoms has to offer,” according to the Shake Shack website.

“The burger is first griddled by the fires of Drogon and Rhaegal, then topped with a fiery ShackSauce created from herbs and spices sourced from the conquered cities of Yunhai, Meeren and Astapor. The burger is then finished with slabs of bacon imported from Essos — a Dothraki delicacy. Caution: may be too hot for non-Targaryens.”

Bacon. OK, now you’re talking.

Actually, the burger makers take two patties and smother them in Monterey Jack cheese, bacon, and a spicy version of the brand’s Shack Sauce that includes scallions, herbs, and hot sauce.

“It’s the Dracarys Burger so you’re thinking it’s gonna be like fire, very very hot spicy,” said Sam Trinidade, 30, who waited in line at the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park.

Trinidade did not order his feast in Valyrian, one of the oldest fictional languages in the show, as requested, but the served him anyway.

“I thought I would be spicier, for the hype,” Trinidade said of the burger, “Daenerys would not be that happy with this.”

That would be dragonriding Queen Daenerys, who can be red hot and as cold as a frozen custard.

The shakes are just as adventurous. The Dragonglass Shake “is frozen with packed snow harvested beyond the Wall and hand churned by members of the Night’s Watch. Final prep occurs in Winterfell, where the shake is topped with shards of Dragonglass imported from the caves of Dragonstone,” the website says.

Spoiler alert: Shake Shack says they used toffee to make the glistening shards of Dragonglass for the topping.

Trinidade’s husband Bruno had every drop of the new refreshing mint shake, topped with dark chocolate toffee. He wasn’t happy with the cup it came in.

“They were advertising an icy dragon glass,” Trinidad said. “It’s plastic.”
