Say uncle fatally knifed his nephew

-

Two men were killed outside a Brooklyn shopping mall early Saturday when their Nissan Altima struck a divider and burned, officials said.

Horrified witnesses braved the fire as they tried to rescue the car’s occupants. They pulled out the driver, but were unable to remove the passenger, police said.

The accident occurred soon after midnight at Flatbush Ave. near Avenue V in Marine Park, just paces from the Kings Plaza shopping mall, when the speeding Altima sideswiped a car idling at a red light, and blew through the traffic signal before hitting the concrete median and a pole, police said. It then burst into flames.

The two men in the car were declared dead at the scene.

They were so badly burned in the fire that investigators are having a hard time identifying them, a police source with knowledge of the case said.

The fatal car accident was one of two to occur on the city’s streets Saturday.

Separately, a 37-year-old motorist was killed and his passenger was thrown from their Jeep Liberty when it struck a light pole on Hylan Blvd. near Seguine Ave. in Prince’s Bay, S.I., about 6:30 a.m.

The driver died at the scene. Medics rushed the 34year-old passenger to an area hospital, where he is expected to survive. A 30-year-old man was knifed to death by his uncle during a fight in their Queens home on Saturday, officials said.

Both men were inside an apartment at 127th Ave. near Bedell St. (bottom) in Jamaica about 4:45 a.m. when they got into an argument. As it escalated, the uncle, 41, stabbed the victim in the head and chest, police said.

Medics rushed him to Jamaica Hospital, where he died. His name was not immediately disclosed.

The uncle was taken in for questioning, but no charges had been filed as of Saturday morning.
