Access to Eli keeps shrinking

Eli Manning typically speaks in June at the annual Guiding Eyes for the Blind Golf Classic. This year’s 42nd annual classic was scheduled for Monday in Mount Kisco, N.Y. This time around, though, organizers limited media invitation­s to those covering the nonprofit/charity side, keeping the sports media out of it.

That decision keeps the focus more on one of the many great causes Manning supports rather than on the quarterbac­k’s career. .

But the change is noteworthy in the context of Manning stepping back a bit in appearance­s as face of the franchise, namely by declining to renew his weekly WFAN inseason appearance for the 2019 season.

COLLINS SAYS, BRING ON SAQUON

Landon Collins’ third annual Celebrity Softball Game on Saturday night raised $30,000 for St. Christophe­r’s, Inc., a Dobbs Ferry-based organizati­on that provides residentia­l and clinical services and guidance to at-risk youth.

The annual game, organized by Giants superfan Joe Ruback, topped the $100,000 mark for total money raised. Dozens of former and current Giants showed up in support, including the rookie QB Daniel Jones, who hit an RBI single in his first at-bat and a home run on his second trip to the plate.

The Giants let Collins walk to Washington in free agency, but he still came back to see his event through even though he now plays for a division rival. He said he’ll have no problem treating the Giants or Saquon Barkley as the enemy now, though, when they meet on the field this fall.

“I was only saying (I wasn’t ready to tackle Saquon before) for the media,” Collins said with a laugh. “I’ve been ready to tackle Saquon. That’s my guy, though. All love to him. He’s been doing his thing, as we all know. But when I get to meet him in the hole this time,
