- BY GRAHAM RAYMAN

A New Jersey woman accused of fatally knifing her twin sister during a fight will be held in jail pending her court case, officials said Friday.

Amanda Ramirez, 27, of Camden allegedly stabbed her twin Anna early Saturday after a night of drinking.

“Watch what I’m going to do!” Ramirez told a witness, according to prosecutors. She then went inside, grabbed a knife and plunged it into her sister’s chest.

“Amanda, you stabbed me!” Anna Ramirez said, according to prosecutors. Medics rushed her to Cooper University Hospital, but she died about 40 minutes after the attack.

Cops found bloody footprints leading from the body to the doorstep where the suspect lives. Amanda Ramirez also had blood on her clothes, court records show.

When police questioned her, she said her sister was already injured when she picked her up earlier that night, court records show. She admitted they argued but denied hurting her.

She soon changed her story to say that her sister had left with a friend and returned looking ill and then collapsed. She now denied any argument.

Amanda then changed her story again and said Anna started the fistfight and went and got a knife. During a struggle, Amanda claimed, she seized control of the knife from her sister and stabbed her.

When detectives told her there was no knife near the body, meaning that someone had moved it, Amanda claimed she didn’t remember what she did with the knife.

Detectives later found a knife in Amanda’s home with blood on it.

Camden County Judge Edward McBride Jr. ordered her held without bail. Her next court date in July 31.
