Two pro hockey players spent time in the penalty box Sunday when they were charged with beating up their roommate in their West Village apartment building over a bill from nightspot 1 OAK, sources said.

Frank “Sonny” Milano, a forward with the Columbus Blue Jackets, and AnthonyJohn “A.J.” Greer, a forward with the Colorado Avalanche, were arrested in the apartment on misdemeanor assault charges for attacking their 28year-old roommate, police sources said.

When police responded to a 911 call at 5:30 a.m. for an assault in progress in the apartment on W. Houston St. near Sullivan St., their roomie had visible bruises and complained of injuries to his torso and the left side of his jaw, sources said. He refused medical attention.

Police sources said the three had returned from a night out partying at 1 OAK in Chelsea, where a friend of their roommate promised them table service for $600 each.

But the hockey players were later told they owed a little over $1,000 and became enraged, blaming their roommate and allegedly beating him up.

Milano, 23, and Greer, also 23, were held briefly at the 6th Precinct stationhouse before they were issued summonses to appear in court at a later date and released.

Greer (inset, right) and Milano (inset, left) ducked reporters’ questions Sunday morning as they returned to their apartment building, slamming the door behind them.

Later, Greer — clad in black and wearing dark sunglasses and a hood covering a baseball cap — took off in a Lyft, throwing his backpack into the trunk of the Toyota Camry and again ignoring queries.
