DON’T CALL ME FREDO!

TRUMP TRASHES GOV’S BRO AFTER HIS TIRADE OVER ‘SLUR’

- BY DAVE GOLDINER AND LEONARD GREENE

President Trump is going to the mattresses with Chris Cuomo over the CNN anchor’s caught-on-camera tirade against a guy who called him “Fredo.” Trump says the shoe fits. “I thought Chris was Fredo also,” Trump tweeted Tuesday. “The truth hurts. Totally lost it! Low ratings @CNN.”

Trump also said Cuomo’s profanity-laced outburst against the man who compared him to the Corleone family outcast was proof that the talk show host should not have a gun.

He said nothing about cannolis.

“Would Chris Cuomo be given a Red Flag for his recent rant?” Trump tweeted later. “Filthy language and a total loss of control. He shouldn’t be allowed to have any weapon. He’s nuts!”

The Twitter trashing erupted over a YouTube video that showed Cuomo squaring off against a stranger who apparently called him “Fredo.”

Cuomo said the insult, in front of his wife and daughter, was an ethnic slur against Italians on par with the N-word.

Donald Trump Jr., meanwhile, offered an insult he couldn’t refuse.

“Hey @ChrisCuomo, take it from me, “Fredo” isn’t the N word for Italians,” the Don’s son tweeted. “It just means you’re the dumb brother.”

Cuomo, who threatened to throw the offender down the stairs, later apologized for his outburst.

“Appreciate all the support but — truth is I should be better than the guys baiting me,” he tweeted. “This happens all the time these days. Often in front of my family. But there is a lesson: no need to add to the ugliness; I should be better than what I oppose.”

But that did not stop Trump from following up the tweet with another sequel.

“It always happens!” Trump tweeted. “When a Conservative does even a fraction of what Chris Cuomo did with his lunatic ranting, raving, & cursing, they get destroyed by the Fake News. But when a Liberal Democrat like Chris Cuomo does it, Republicans immediately come to his defense. We never learn!”

The tweet was probably a reference to conservative TV host Sean Hannity who went against the family with his support of Cuomo.

“I say good for @ChrisCuomo,” Hannity tweeted. “He’s out with his 9 year old daughter, and his wife, and this guy is being a jackass in front of his family.”
