Tasered and nabbed by B’klyn cops
A man who took up a fighting pose against a cop in Brooklyn ended up on the wrong end of a Taser shot early Sunday — and under arrest as well, police said.
Jahilil Vasser, 23, was in a crowd of people on Bainbridge St. near Thomas S. Boyland St. in Bedford-Stuyvesant when a group of plainclothes cops arrived to investigate a report of gunshots.
Cops tried to break up the crowd, but several people refused to leave.
When Vasser took his fighting stance, cops shot him with the Taser, officials said.
He was charged with assaulting a police officer, disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration, cops said.
Another man in the crowd, Constantine Hyde, 26, was charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing governmental administration and unlawful possession of marijuana, said cops.
A third suspect, Robert Jenkins, 31, was slapped with the same charges as Hyde, as well as a charge of cocaine possession, police said.
Two other people were given summonses.
When the officers first pulled up, they heard gunshots and then found lead fragments near their vehicle. But it was unclear whether the gunshots were aimed at them, police said.
About three hours earlier, just blocks away, another NYPD officer was pelted with a bottle following a Family Day gathering, police said.
Police were trying to disperse a drunken crowd following the celebration in the Marcy Houses when a group began hurling bottles at them around midnight, authorities said.
The injured officer was taken to an area hospital, where he received stitches.
Twelve people were arrested for disorderly conduct in connection with the incident, cops said.
