Music exec charged in sex assault

A Manhattan music executive was arrested and charged with breaking into a neighbor’s apartment and sexually assaulting her while she slept, officials said Tuesday.

Adam Lublin, 43, faces sexual assault and burglary charges for the Sept. 15 incident, in which he forced entry into a woman’s apartment, sexually assaulted her and stole several items of underwear, prosecutors said.

“She was asleep inside her apartment and awoke to find [Lublin] touching her vagina,” according to a criminal complaint. “Over the past month, she noticed that pairs of her underwear were missing.”

She screamed during the attack, and Lublin fled, officials said.

Lublin posted $175,000 bail at his Manhattan Criminal Court arraignment, and the judge issued an order of protection. He was charged with two counts of burglary and one count of sexual abuse.

Prosecutors said there was surveillance video of Lublin going to the victim’s floor on the elevator at the time of the incident.

Lublin (photo) owns BLC Entertainment, according to his LinkedIn page. He has been photographed at a slew of swanky music events over the years.

Cops pursuing the exec saw him dispose of the woman’s belongings on the corner of Chambers St. and North End Ave. in Lower Manhattan, according to court papers.

“I looked inside that trash can and observed a cup containing underwear and a pink flamingo straw in that cup,” NYPD Officer Abid Shahid stated in court documents. He said the victim identified them as her own.

Lublin did not respond to a request for comment.

“One of the backbones in our legal system is the presumption of innocence,” said Lublin’s lawyer, Scott Leemon. “Adam will rely on that presumption of innocence.”
