I didn’t ask Woody to stop son: Harv

-

Harvey Weinstein claims he never tried to get between Woody Allen and his son Ronan Farrow to try to block reporting on the sexual misconduct allegations against him.

Farrow, in his new book, “Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators,” claims the disgraced Hollywood producer called his estranged father and asked him to tell Farrow to back off.

Weinstein (inset r.) denies ever making such a call.

“How would anyone in his right mind think that Ronan Farrow would do anything that Woody Allen asked?” his spokesperson said in a statement Wednesday to the Daily News. “This is simply again Ronan Farrow taking liberties with the facts and creating drama and intrigue where it never existed. This never happened.”

Farrow claims in his book that Weinstein was looking for a “strategic playbook — for quashing sexual assault allegations, and for dealing with me” as he attempted to stop the reporter from digging into the sexual assault allegations.

Allen (inset l.) didn’t offer any advice, Farrow wrote, but suggested Weinstein buy a book that detailed his own defense against daughter Dylan Farrow, who accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was 7.

Weinstein has been repeatedly accused of sexual harassment and assault by women including several prominent actresses, but has denied all allegations. He’s set to stand trial in Manhattan in January for predatory sexual assault, charges to which he has pleaded not guilty.
