Pistol-packing punks on tape

- BY THOMAS TRACY

A crew of crooks have been holding up convenience stores and pistolwhipping deliverymen in Brooklyn — and all of their violent antics have been caught on camera, officials said Wednesday.

Police on Wednesday released surveillance video footage showing the suspects, three in all, attacking a deliveryman and holding up a deli worker.

The spree began Feb. 13 when two crooks held up a 19-year-old worker at the A and E convenience store on Jamaica Ave. near Van Siclen Ave. in Cypress Hills.

The victim was behind the counter when one of the robbers pulled a gun and demanded money from the till.

The crook also took money from the victim’s jacket pocket and his cell phone before running off.

Four days later, the criminal crew resurfaced. One of them was caught on camera pistolwhipping a 30-year-old deliveryman on Hendrix St. near Atlantic Ave., about four blocks from the first robbery, cops said.

The gunman made off with the victim’s e-bike, cash and cell phone, officials said. The deliveryman suffered a minor injury and was treated at a local hospital.

The crew emerged again Sunday when they robbed the XYZ Smoke Shop on Fulton St. near Chestnut St., less than a mile from the first two crimes.

Police said one of the crooks came into the store about 6:15 p.m., pulled a gun on a 17-yearold worker and took money from the register, two cell phones, a watch and an iPad before fleeing on a bicycle.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
