I was abused by cop at 15 – suit

She doesn’t remember her assailant’s name — but she remembers he wore the uniform of an NYPD officer.

One of two girls who got lost in Queens in 2004 says the officer sexually abused her, according to a lawsuit filed in Brooklyn Federal Court.

The girls — 15 and 16 years old at the time — had been drinking at Avalon, a Manhattan nightclub, when they decided to head back to one of their homes in Queens.

They took the A train and got off at Beach 116th St. in Rockaway Park, lost and unsure how to get home, the suit says.

At the station, they encountered two uniformed police officers.

They asked the cops for help. After flirting with the underage girls, one of the officers offered to take them back to his apartment, where he said he would use the website MapQuest to help them find directions home, the lawsuit said.

When they arrived at his apartment in Queens, the cop — identified only as in his late 20s to early 30s with facial hair and brown hair — allegedly handcuffed the two girls together on his couch and tried to engage them in sex acts.

When the 16-year-old girl rebuffed his advances, he uncuffed her and instead only abused the 15year-old, the lawsuit says.

It is not clear if both girls were in the room during the alleged abuse. The lawsuit was filed by the 15-yearold victim.

“All of the foregoing conduct was performed on the plaintiff without her consent, which could not be given in light of her minor age, her inebriated state, and her status of being helpless due to her being within the express and implied custody, control and power of an officer of the peace,” the suit reads.

The officer allegedly threatened to hurt the 15-year-old girl if she told anyone about the abuse.

After reporting the incident, police never followed up on the complaint, the lawsuit alleges.

Lawyers for the victim say they are optimistic they’ll be able to identify the officer and his partner as the lawsuit proceeds.

The NYPD declined to comment on the case.

“This is a lawsuit about a child who went to a person for help and guidance. We put our safety and our protection with the police and this was an appalling breach of that trust,” said Aryeh Leib Taub, who represents the anonymous girl.
