City hits 2 slumlords with $390G in fines for violations

Slumlords in Manhattan and the Bronx are facing nearly $400,000 in penalties from the city for a massive 650 violations accumulate­d in just six buildings, the Department of Housing Preservati­on and Developmen­t announced Wednesday.

“He hasn’t been hit with $90,000 dollars in civil penalties,” said the attorney, who refused to give his name. “There hasn’t been a trial on this, there hasn’t been a hearing and there hasn’t been a finding of fact.”
