A Bronx gunman was sentenced Monday to 25 years in jail for the ambush shooting death of a roommate to settle a dispute, officials said.

Prosecutors said Travis Proctor, 28, pleaded guilty last month to first-degree manslaughter in the 2017 sneak attack on Zhala Davenport, 22, who was killed as he walked along E. 195th St. near Decatur Ave. in Fordham Manor.

Officials said Davenport was walking along the street at 6:30 a.m. on July 5, 2017, when Proctor (inset), hidden behind a vehicle, emerged, rushed behind the victim and shot him several times.

Davenport, who suffered wounds to his torso and hand, stumbled into a nearby deli, where he died, police said.

The entire incident was captured on surveillance video.

“It was premeditated,” said the victim’s mother, Messalina Clark. “He put a hit on him. Someone lured him to the store.”

“He took my son for no reason,” Clark said in an impact statement before her son’s killer was sentenced. “He knew my son wasn’t violent because they were roommates. I’m a woman of God, and I knew God would take care of it and justice has been served.”

Proctor’s attorney Toni Messina said the dispute was over a perceived theft of money.

Proctor apologized in Bronx Criminal Court on Monday.

“It was just the wrong place at the wrong time,” he said. “I didn’t mean for it to happen, but it happened.”

A 61-year-old Bronx woman beat cancer only to be bludgeoned to death in her own home, friends and authorities said Monday.

Angelica Jimenez’s corpse was discovered on the living room floor of her first-floor apartment in the Castle Hill Houses on Seward Ave. near Castle Hill Ave. by her 38year-old daughter about 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, cops said.

“She was a beautiful person,” said a distraught friend who declined to give her name. “She would get along with everybody.”

The apartment was not in disarray and no weapon was found. Cops believe Jimenez likely knew her attacker.

Jimenez was a cancer survivor who had a home health aide on weekday mornings, friends said.

Friends said Jimenez’s live-in boyfriend is an excon who just got out of prison last summer. Police sources said they have not ruled anyone out as a suspect.

Investigators believe Jimenez (inset) was bludgeoned but are awaiting an official cause of death once an autopsy is completed.

“She really, really didn’t deserve this,” the victim’s friend said.

The daughter had gone away with her own boyfriend for the day and found her mother dead when she returned, after the home health aide was unable to reach the victim, friends said.

The victim’s 41-yearold son is mentally disabled and lives in an assisted care facility, according to neighbors.

“I just saw her yesterday,” Brenda Guadalupe, 37, another longtime friend, said of the victim. “She was going to the store. She looked normal.”

“I couldn’t sleep last night,” she added.
