Man shot in road rage dies

A man shot in the head during a bizarre road rage incident in Brooklyn has died of his wounds, cops said Saturday.

The 31-year-old victim was driving a 2019 Chevy Impala down Sixth Ave. in Park Slope just before 5 p.m. Friday when a white Acura with New Jersey license plates cut him off, witnesses told police.

The two motorists began veering into each other’s lanes, jockeying for position, as they continued to drive down Sixth Ave., police sources said.

Once the Acura driver got to First St., he stepped out of the car and fired at least four shots into the victim’s windshield before speeding off.

The victim, who lives in Brooklyn, was struck in the head. Medics rushed him to New York-Presbyteri­an Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where he died

A man was stabbed to death in Harlem, and a person of interest was being questioned Saturday, police said.

The 27-year-old victim was found near the corner of W. 144th St. and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. with stab wounds to his chest and body about 11:30 p.m. Friday, officials said. early Saturday, cops said.

Police were still looking for the gunman Saturday.

Friday’s shooting was the first of the year in the 78th Precinct, which protects residents of Park Slope and parts of Boerum Hill. Only one shooting occurred in the 78th Precinct in 2019, according to NYPD statistics.

Medics rushed the victim to Harlem Hospital where he died, cops said. Witnesses told police that the victim was arguing with another man just before he was attacked.

A person of interest was taken into custody and was being questioned Saturday, sources said.
