ing this virus,” Jones said. “Challenging times bring out the best in so many, and you all have risen to the occasion. Thank you so much for all that you do.”

Tate added: “We’re so thankful that while we’re all stuck at home, you guys are out there trying to help others save lives. And I just want you to know it’s not going un (noticed).”

Tom Brady’s new contract with the Buccaneers became official on Friday, but it was a quiet day for the Giants. Their own corner and special teamer, Antonio Hamilton, signed with the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs despite initial interest from the Giants to bring him back.

Edge rusher Markus Golden, safety and special teams captain Michael Thomas, and wideout Corey Coleman are among the Giants’ unrestricted free agents who remained unsigned and could end up coming back, depending on how the market shakes out.

Trust this, though: The Giants aren’t done, even though they’ve spent a lot of their cap space.

Until Jaguars edge Yannick Ngakoue and Vikings free safety Anthony Harris are traded elsewhere or sign with their own teams, they are names to watch. Harris has been on the Giants’ radar, and they still need a free safety.

Seahawks pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney interestingly is still a free agent, as is the Vikings’ Everson Griffen, who announced he will not be returning to Minnesota.

Golden and the Colts’ Jabaal Sheard are less expensive and more likely fits for the Giants on the edge, unless the team breaks character or players’ markets depress, as it is rumored Clowney’s has.

Center, like safety, is another position where the Giants have pursued multiple players but landed none yet. They might draft one but it seems they’d like to add another healthy body at the position in free agency, too.

Former Giant Brett Jones is a free agent. Patriots backup James Ferentz is available. And keep an eye on rehabbing Ravens center Matt Skura, whom Baltimore tendered at the lowest level as a restricted free agent.

Skura and Daniel Jones are friends from Duke. The Ravens can match any offer from another team, but if they don’t, they receive no compensation in return.
