Jets contract details for ’20 draft class
The NFL’s rookie wage scale has taken the heavy lifting out of negotiations for first-year players. There’s minimal mystery and a surprise for the newbies.
Fifth-round cornerback Bryce Hall became the first member of Gang Green’s 2020 draft class to sign this week. Hall, the No. 158 overall pick, inked a four-year, $3.61 million deal that included a $315,800 signing bonus. He’ll count $689,000 against the team’s salary cap this season.
Rookie signings have become routine with slotted deals based on when players were selected. The Jets should sign the rest of their draft class in the coming days and weeks without many hiccups.
